Exercise Neuroscience Research Laboratory
Welcome
Welcome to the Exercise Neuroscience Research Laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health at the University
of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
The Exercise Neuroscience Research Laboratory conducts research pertinent to expanding the scientific knowledge base that largely
focuses upon social-cognitive determinants and mental health consequences of exercise and physical activity with a particular interest
in adolescent and aging populations. The research questions and projects of the lab range from basic to applied and are often
multi-disciplinary in nature. As such, the Exercise Neuroscience Research Laboratory Laboratory will frequently collaborate with other
laboratories in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health as well as other departments across the University of Illinois campus.
The Exercise Neuroscience Research Laboratory provides essential research opportunities for Kinesiology students in the
undergraduate and graduate education programs at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Laboratory experiences will expand a
student's theoretical understanding of the profession of Behavior Kinesiology, develop unique and innovative research skills, and foster
intellectual growth through scholarly inquiry.
